HOT PICK: Titan Beretta 92FS

I’ve been using my Titan Beretta 92FS down at the range a lot recently, and notching up some good scores with it. It’s a real delight to use, well made and beautifully scripted. It has some great animations (including a kneeling stance that’s very James Bond!) and a discrete but very well designed HUD. At L$1200 I consider it excellent value for money.

Hot new weapon…

Furia Freeloader, the mastermind behind Furious, has just released the Furious Flame Thrower. For only L$700 you are supplied with two versions, a standalone flame thrower, and the full backpack dual bottled version for when you keep torching them, but they keep coming back for more.

Don’t let the price fool you, this is no budget weapon, it’s just tremendous value for money. The prim work, textures, scripts and animations are all first class, as we’ve come to expect from Furia, and the gun does serious combat damage over time as your enemy burns. The weapon has a 20 meter range, so as long as you can get close enough, you can cause some serious trouble.

We recommend that these are kept away from small children, and are not used in small, enclosed spaces.

Kerhop innovates again…

kerhopvendors_001.jpgKerhop Seattle of Kerhop’s Innovations has just released a remarkable set of vendors. There are two ranges, “Spin” vendors which have the product images on a revolving barrel which spins into position as you flick between items, and “Fade” vendors, which fade between items as though in a slideshow. To my knowledge these are the first vendors that can take coupons, so you can (for example) place coupons inside Wonder Chairs or freebie boxes to entice buyers to your store! But wait we haven’t finished, they can also revenue share, offer buyers a bonus with their purchase and store records for later revue.

How to get there:

These vendors are standalone, perfect for those trading from a very limited number of locations or who just don’t want the fuss of working with networked servers.

Stunning Sim Photography

Wisdom Streeter has just completed a series of amazing photographs from around Tech Expo. Wis is a photoshop power user with a great eye for atmospheric lighting. We hope to use the shots on promotional material in the near future, in the meantime, here’s a sneak preview:

New teleporter from Thomas Conover

hpc.jpg

Thomas Conover does it again with his new HPC Teleporter. The Hybrid Parallel Chain Teleporter does away with notecards altogether, and is 100% drag and drop friendly for even large networks. Add to that some whacky build and particle effects, including a UFO telePOD, and you have the hottest thing in SL transport. Those of you who require something a little more sober, fear not, there’s also a minimalist TP effect.

You can grab a demo version or ride around in ours - it’s currently on display on the main deck.

To visit: click here, then open your map and teleport.

Thomas Conover’s HPC Teleporter costs just L$695 and is fully copy enabled, meaning you can use it for all your teleporting needs.
